Although I was introduced to yoga at an early age, I truly fell in love with it at 18, after years of straining my body and mind with intense weightlifting. My physical practice soon became a gateway to exploring the other seven limbs of yoga, which have profoundly transformed my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Since earning my 200-hour certification in 2021 from Yoga Vida in Brooklyn, NY, I have volunteered teaching yoga at women’s shelters and mental health agencies, and have taught both children and adults at studios and libraries. The powerful effects I’ve witnessed in myself and my students inspired my current PhD research on school-based mindfulness interventions to support youth well-being.
Each time we practice yoga, we are offered an opportunity for self-discovery and growth. I’m honored to share the gift of yoga with people of all ages and look forward to seeing you on the mat!
