Everyone has been talking about Mandalas and art therapy. So, what’s all the chatter about?
The word Mandala is derived from the Sanskrit and means “circle.” A mandala has a concentric structure that offers balancing visual elements that symbolize unity and harmony.
This 2-hour workshop is a social activity where individuals will connect with each other physically and energetically. We will communicate and listen to one another. We will use our flexibility, strength and balance to support ourselves and each other.
The workshop will slowly build so participants can become open, playful and connected with one another in a safe and comfortable way. In the group Human Mandala, Delisa will guide us through a series of interconnected yoga poses and sequences which will incorporate synchronized movements, breathing and stretches. We will stay connected and support each other. This workshop involves interactive games, partner yoga, and mini human mandalas and concludes with the group human mandala and a relaxing coloring activity to calm our minds and spark creativity.
This will be fun and playful, and it will create a feeling of connectedness and openness with one another.
